Week 30 – 2020

Often times Christians will sing the song taken from Psalm 51:10-12, “Create in me a clean heart, 0 God (or Lord), and renew a right (or steadfast) spirit within me. Cast me not away from Your presence and take not Your Holy Spirit from me. Restore unto me the joy of my salvation and on and on it goes. This was written by David after he committed adultery with Bathsheba and had her husband murdered. This is not a song for New Covenant believers. God will never take His Holy Spirit from you or cast you from His presence (see Heb.13:5; 1 Cor.3:15; etc.). Another amazing new creation fact is that a born again believer has a clean, pure heart. Ezekiel prophesied this in Ezekiel 36; verses 26, 27 and Hebrews chapter 8 and chapter 10 speak of this as a now reality for the believer. If you are born again you no longer have a wicked heart as Jeremiah 17:9 states. This was before the cross. When you accepted Christ, the Holy Spirit did spiritual heart surgery and your heart is as pure as gold (see Titus 3:5). Wow! Simply accept what He did for you and stop trying to fix yourself. Somebody say; “AMEN.”
