Sense knowledge holds people prisoners. People are always looking for physical evidence, and as long as they do that, faith doesn’t have any opportunity to exercise itself.

The question must be settled in your mind. When you pray for something, then you must act as though you have prayed for it. Believe you have it. Your speech will line up with your beliefs and you won’t negate what you just asked for. Mark 11:24 reminds us, “When ye pray, believe that ye have received; and ye shall have.” Case closed! You now praise and thank Him for it!

There is a story of a man who was praying for money to meet a bill. He prayed. Then he went out of his house and immediately wondered how he could get it. He didn’t realize that he had just destroyed his prayer. He had nullified the Word. He came to his himself and began to thank God for His provision. He held himself steady and kept his heart singing songs of victory. These songs helped to occupy his mind and not allow fear to enter while he focused on his Redeemer. He later received His money!

You can grow out of that to an even deeper rest in the Lord! At this place you ask your Heavenly Father for something and forget about it. You leave it and walk away from it! If it should come back to your mind, you simply rejoice that He has your provision and is working everything out for you! You simply refuse to dwell on it and restfully resolve to forget about it again! Phil. 4:6 says, “Be careful for nothing (not worrying about one single thing); but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.” Is He not for you? Is He not working for those who trust Him?
