February 11, 2012 – Church News
1.) Thank you to all the people who help record our YouTube messages and to Kobus and Ronel Slabber for editing and posting them!
*Our latest messages will be up as soon as possible.
2.) Considering the weather, we had a wonderful turnout and a lot of fun at our last Ladies Coffee Meeting! There was one unexpected visitor–Mr. Ron Johnson! We have taken a group vote and feel that Ron can join us again…as long as he continues to carry Kellye’s purse and limit his opinions to only yes and no answers!
(Ron is such a “good sport!!” He is super fun to pick on and Chris and I suggest you tease him whenever possible!!) –Sorry, Ron!
*At our next Ladies (+ Ron) Coffee Meeting: Feb. 18th (Jen at Ten) Let’s try Brenda’s Beanery this time!
To date: There is rumors of more and more men who are intending on crashing our Ladies Coffee! (I promise we aren’t planning World Domination!! I (Jen), don’t have time for that! Why would I want that headache? And, isn’t that just for politicians?) Let me reveal how this works: (Husbands’ are the heads, but wife’s’ are the necks!!!) “I” already have “my own” world domination set-up right here in Greenville, Ohio! Lol! Prov. 14:1 tell us, “Every wise woman buildeth her house: but foolish plucketh it down with her hands.”
3.) Our young adults and teens are starting a “Youth Band!” See Jason Arnold for details and sign-up. (FYI: Jason was just given a new set of drums! The best set he has ever worked with–God is a Blesser!)
4.) We just sent (14) 30 minute radio broadcasts to Pastor Reza Safa of TBN Nejat TV for his global outreach! We are still looking for good, knowledgeable Grace ministers (Non-Universalists) who we feel might be “trusted” for others to listen to, as a suggestion for him! Call or email us if you are interested. Let us clarify, that he is the final decision maker–not us!
We owe an eternal thanks to the following for making this first step happen: 1.) Aaron Brown–figuring out the Into and Outro placements and the broadcast timings (he put in a lot of mental might and time!), 2.) Denny Bergman–wrote and recorded the music and Into/Outros (he wrote many original tunes to choose from), 3.) (I) Jen–was the announcer for the Into and Outros, 4.) Pastor Chris–will be teaching/preaching (Grace + comedy–he is always informative and fun to hear)! 5.) Jesus–for providing the ability for all of the above!
